Following the commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) convened a Post–International Women’s Day webinar on 9th March 2026 to continue discussions on gender equality, leadership, and justice for women in the education sector.
Every year on 8th March, Uganda joins the rest of the world to commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD); a global occasion dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women while also calling for renewed action toward gender equality.
