Today marked the official launch of the Teaching Together 2025 Planning Meeting, held at the UNATU Secretariat in Kampala. This two-day engagement (10th–11th July) brings together 8 Canadian and 8 Ugandan co-tutors to collaboratively prepare for the upcoming Teacher training sessions set to begin on July 14 in the Western and Busoga regions of Uganda.

The Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU), in partnership with the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF/FCE) and with funding from Global Affairs Canada, officially closed out the Simameni Project in a high-level event held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. Stakeholders from across the education, health, cultural, and community sectors gathered at Bethany Hall in Kumi District to mark the regional closeout of the Simameni Project in the Teso Region.
