OUR CORE MANDATE 

UNATU was formed to advocate and bargain for improved living and working conditions of our members/teachers.

The main service we offer to members is negotiation (Collective bargaining) for better welfare and general work conditions. 

Who WE are

Uganda National Teachers’ Union abbreviated as UNATU is a National Teachers’ Labour Union.

UNATU is also formally recognized as a Public Service Union under the Public Service Negotiating, Consultative and Disputes Settlement Machinery, Act 2008.

UNATU’s Headquarters are housed in own premises at Teachers House; Plot 28/30, Bombo Road.

We also have regional and branch offices all over the country
