On July 16, 2024, Soroti City became a hub of youthful energy and educational advocacy as the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) hosted a vibrant youth workshop for the Teso Region. Bringing together youth teachers from all districts within the region, the workshop aimed to empower young educators, equip them with critical information, and reinforce their role within the union and the broader education sector.

The Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) hosted a transformative youth teachers’ training workshop on July 12, 2024, at the Tropic Inn Hotel in Masaka City, Southern Region. Bringing together 108 enthusiastic young educators, the event focused on fostering leadership, understanding teachers’ rights, and promoting financial literacy.

On July 11th, 2024, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) convened a pivotal stakeholders meeting in Masaka, aiming to address pressing issues in the education sector. The gathering included 32 participants, among them the Southern Regional Chairperson, the National Representative for Teachers with Disabilities, Branch Chairpersons, and Human Resource Officers (HROs) from various districts in the Southern Region.

A regional stakeholder’s meeting was held on July 10th, 2024, at the Catholic Center Cafeteria, Christ the King Parish in Arua City, West Nile region. The meeting brought together 32 participants inclusive of Human Resource Officers (HROs) from various districts in West Nile, along with the General Secretary of UNATU, the National Secretary for Planning and Organizing, and the Branch Chairpersons of the West Nile region.

On 9th July 2024, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) launched its stakeholders’ meetings with a session in Arua, bringing together youth and secondary school teachers at Christ the King Parish in Arua City.
