On the 9th of August, 2024, the Civil Service College, Jinja City hosted a dynamic youth training workshop, organized by the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) for Busoga Region. A total of 134 enthusiastic youth teachers attended the event, which aimed at fostering leadership, advocating for professional development, and addressing key issues affecting young educators in the region.

Today, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) convened a stakeholders meeting at Teachers House in Kampala City. The meeting saw the participation of district Human Resource Officers (HROs) from all districts of the Central region, along with various UNATU leaders including branch chairpersons from the region, the Regional Chair Central, Vice Regional Chair, the National Secretary for Women Affairs, the General Secretary, and the Regional Coordinator.

On Saturday, July 11th, 2024, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Ltd. (UNATU SACCO) gathered for its annual general meeting in Kampala. This event marked another year of commitment to improving the economic welfare of teachers across the nation.

KAMPALA, 22nd July 2024 — The Central Region Youth meeting was held at Teachers House in Kampala, drawing a diverse group of educators from across the central region. This event aimed to foster discussion, collaboration, and unity among young teachers, addressing key issues and planning for the future.

UNATU’s Kaliro branch recently organized a significant Headteachers Performance Management Workshop at Musana Vocational High School. Held on July 20, 2024, the event was facilitated by the District Education Officer (DEO), the District Inspector of Schools (DIS), the District Human Resources (HR) Officer, and the General Secretary of UNATU. Additionally, the Busoga Region Coordinator and the UNATU Branch Executive, led by the Chairperson of Kaliro, were in attendance. The workshop saw a substantial turnout of headteachers from various schools in the region.

Soroti City, July 17, 2024 — The Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) hosted a significant stakeholders meeting at Tedwills in Soroti City, bringing together key players in the education sector from the Teso Region. Attendees included 12 Human Resource Officers (HROs) from various districts, 12 UNATU branch chairpersons, the General Secretary, the Vice National Chairperson, the Regional Chairperson Teso, the Simameni Project Officer Teso, and the Regional Coordinator.

On July 16, 2024, Soroti City became a hub of youthful energy and educational advocacy as the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) hosted a vibrant youth workshop for the Teso Region. Bringing together youth teachers from all districts within the region, the workshop aimed to empower young educators, equip them with critical information, and reinforce their role within the union and the broader education sector.
