I pray this works out. We are tired of the unfulfilled promises by the government. Teachers are never prioritized in every budget and we have been reduced to nobody.

  2. This issue of engaging the government n industrial action after the budget process is over will not help .All should be accomplished before the budget process

  3. Thanks so much for effort so much put by our leaders in seeing the well being of the Teachers but I pray one day God will listen to us and see us through. I beg u not to get tire and being scared by anybody. I pray that may God shield u with the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

  4. I can’t find a reason why the government has continued to undervalue teachers. They should keep in mind that every profession passes through the hands of a teacher

  5. Thanks for the struggle. The Union is great but, the problem is with the government (President). Let us keep pushing. They are messing education purposely. God is watching!

    1. Are we going to continue begging for how long, why is that the president and his people hate teachers so much. can he explain to us if any teacher torture him at one point in the school so that we can apologize on his or her behalf

  6. I appreciate the work of president in other sectors but on teacherslet him and his cabinets come out clearly so teachers stop waiting for nothing rather than going to our garden some of us have good harters of land when given enough time can do well within a year

  7. The current government doesn’t feel the pinch of teachers because they are enjoying our tax payers money for their families,we pray that God whips our tears as poor Ugandan teachers as the new government leadership is ushered by God’s grace.

  8. Let’s explore the law. Is it in order (legal) for employees having an appointment letter reading the same salary scale (U1E) earning differently. Can’t we sue government?

  9. Wambadiawamba Hassan

No salary increment for teachers no opening next term. UNTU come out clearly so that government understand our position.

  10. Amadile Jackson

Updates from UNATU on engagement with government concerning pay rise is not only important but also so critical at this point of time.

  11. Thanks for the efforts we are together in heart. But let the government take a quick response it’s just our humble request because we also need to enjoy the fruits of the country. Thanks

  12. I think Uganda’s government needs the “Animal farm” period! Let them vote themselves if they think they are so egoistic

You people, this government is full of economists, don’t they know that they are cheating us? They currency has reduced in value and inflation is high but salary is static; they are aware of all those, but just waiting for an industrial action. So please Govt think about teachers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. I hear government is increasing salaries for all civil servants,,
Which percentage are they giving especially art and primary teachers who didn’t get any increament since
This is still unfair if everyone is given the same amount.

  14. KIGENI EMMANUEL

It seems the government has paid a deaf ear to the cry of the teachers, the primary teachers are also about to act due to the current high costs of living in the country 🤔🤔🤔

  15. This one man’s government can’t do anything about teachers. Let’s look for ways of improving our status even if it means missing school.400,000= can not even feed a family of six for a month.

  16. Since we’re in a political season the president of Uganda has to say something positive.
If he is donating money to peasants why not teachers?
