This month’s issue of The UNATU Connect highlights
The 2025 Teaching Together Programme (formerly INSET) was successfully conducted in Busoga and Western Regions at Bishop Willis TTI (Iganga) and Canon Apollo TTI (Fort Portal).

UNATU, in partnership with the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF), trained 200 educators from Kitagwenda, Bundibugyo, Bugiri, and Mayuge districts in instructional strategies, learning styles, behavioural management, leadership, trade unionism, and gender-responsive education.

The programme strengthened teachers’ capacity to create safe, inclusive, and engaging classrooms while promoting positive discipline and learner retention, particularly for girls.

Education International monitored progress of the Stop Child Labour Project in Buyende.

UNATU continued its support to Heads of Schools and Institutions in performance management initiatives.

UNATU held a strategic stakeholder engagement meeting in the Western Region.

Central Region engaged education stakeholders and post-primary members to strengthen union collaboration and participation.
