On Saturday, July 11th, 2024, the Uganda National Teachers’ Union Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Ltd. (UNATU SACCO) gathered for its annual general meeting in Kampala. This event marked another year of commitment to improving the economic welfare of teachers across the nation.
During the AGM, Baguma Filbert Bates was recognized for his outstanding dedication to saving with UNATU SACCO. Mr. Baguma has consistently demonstrated exemplary savings habits by maintaining his savings with the SACCO from the very beginning without any withdrawals. “I was recognized for being exemplary in saving with UNATU SACCO without withdrawing my savings from the beginning” he said
Founded on December 3, 2012, under the Cooperative Societies Act Cap 112, UNATU SACCO aims to enhance the financial well-being of teachers through its voluntary savings and credit cooperative organization. Operating nationwide, the SACCO serves its members primarily online via email and telephone, with additional support available through local UNATU branches and desk offices across the country.
