INDUSTRIAL ACTION 2025 UPDATES

On 15th September 2025, UNATU resumed Industrial Action following Government’s continued silence on the issue of salary disparities between teachers. This action was resolved by the National Executive Council (NEC) and Branch Chairpersons after three years of unfulfilled promises and unfair treatment of the majority of teachers.

This Industrial Action is:

  • Lawful and peaceful in line with the rights of workers.
  • About equity and fairness — no teacher should be left behind.
  • Nationwide, covering both Primary and Post Primary institutions.
