This month’s issue of The UNATU Connect highlights key union engagements and advocacy activities undertaken in April 2025. A significant highlight of the month includes UNATU’s presentation of a petition to the Equal Opportunities Commission, demonstrating the Union’s active role in advocating for fairness and equity in education and public service matters.
The edition features coverage of the Kasese Main Branch Sub-BEC Orientation and Membership Education session, reinforcing the Union’s commitment to strengthening branch leadership and enhancing member awareness.

The newsletter also reports on the SIMAMENI Project’s stakeholder training on advancing gender-responsive education, alongside pictorial highlights of project activities in the Teso and Western Regions, including the visit of a Global Affairs Canada representative. These engagements underscore UNATU’s continued collaboration with partners to promote inclusive and equitable learning environments.
